Our people

Carina is our finance director. Having been at PolicyBee for over 17 years, there’s no one better placed to guide the financial strategy of the business. As part of the board and compliance committee, Carina helps to verify the right checks and balances are in place – from working with insurers to ensuring that all our systems and processes support customers throughout their journey with us. Alongside this, she makes sure any decisions we make are considered from our customer’s point of view as well as a commercial one.

Carina is also a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).

When she’s not knee-deep in numbers, Carina enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, painting, and keeping active with CrossFit.

As the Managing Director of PolicyBee, David is responsible for setting the direction of the business. Alongside the board of directors, he ensures we remain focused on providing the best possible service for small businesses around the UK, whilst meeting and exceeding the FCA’s requirements for fair and honest insurance practices.

David also heads up our IT and development team. With his guidance, they make sure our systems and infrastructure are reliable, effective, and serve our customers.

Having been with PolicyBee for over 22 years, there’s no one better suited to lead the team and ensure that our mission of ‘keeping small business buzzing’ is successful.

As our Marketing Director and a member of the board, Dominique leads the marketing strategy at PolicyBee. She focuses on keeping our brand’s personality, values, and customer‑first approach at the heart of everything we do.

Dominique plays a key role in connecting marketing with the wider business, championing collaboration and ensuring that wherever we speak to customers, we do so in a way that’s authentically PolicyBee.

Outside of work, Dominique enjoys spending time with family and travelling whenever she gets the chance.

Kerri-Ann is the beating heart of our customer service team. She’s responsible for making sure every customer has the best possible experience. And that our team uphold the highest possible standards. Her degree in law focused on civil liability disputes, perfectly preparing her to advocate on our customer’s behalf, especially when it comes to professional indemnity insurance.

She’s also one of our longest serving team members, having been with PolicyBee for over 20 years.

As a mum of three, chances are you’ll find Kerri-Ann just as busy when she’s out of the office. When she’s able to get some time for herself, she’s a lover of live sport and the odd shopping spree.

If it’s got anything to do with strategy or stats, then Mark’s our man. As our director of business development, he works closely with our insurers to provide great protection for our customers. He also manages our development team, who help make our online experience smooth and easy. On top of that, he’s certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)*.

When he’s out of the office, Mark’s a self-proclaimed taxi service for his two sons. When he’s not driving around, he likes to keep fit, travel, cook, and enjoy the sun, when the British weather allows.

As our master of claims, Jane has the answers when it comes to one of insurance’s trickiest subjects. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, 20 of which have been at PolicyBee, her expertise is invaluable to our customers – whether she’s on the phone, advocating for our customers, or supporting the team.

She’s also certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)*, which is a sure sign she really knows her stuff.

Josie is one of our hard-working claims handlers. Needing to make a claim can often come at a stressful time for a business, but she’s on hand to help customers navigate the process, provide invaluable advice, and answer any questions they may have in a thoughtful and expert way.

Outside of work, Josie loves solo travelling and exploring the world. She also volunteers at animal shelters in her spare time.

As a senior account executive, Gemma not only helps our customers with their yearly renewals and changes to their cover, she’s also a vital referral point for the team. If any of our account executives have a tricky question, whether it’s for a customer or a new business, she’s on hand to help and ensure our customers receive the right information at the right time. Her 20 years of insurance experience are invaluable for our customers and our team.

She’s also been certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)* since 2001, demonstrating her expertise and knowledge.

In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym, doing yoga, and being outdoors. She always enjoys getting away on a travel adventure whenever she can.

With 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, Jenna’s experience as one of our account executives is invaluable for small businesses looking to find their insurance with PolicyBee for the first time. Every day, she provides guidance and support by answering any questions, preparing quotes, and offering invaluable insurance advice.

As a mum of two daughters, her time outside the office is spent with her family, keeping fit, and enjoying a good thriller.

Kath’s one of our fantastic account executives, specialising in helping small businesses find their insurance for the first time with PolicyBee. Day in, day out, she’s on hand to provide quotes, give helpful advice on insurance, and leave customers with a smile on their face.

This positivity shines through in her personal life too. Kath rescues injured and sick birds in her spare time, and she's also an avid runner and coffee drinker.

As the Head of New Business, Sarah’s responsible for making sure all our new customers are looked after.

Having been with PolicyBee for over 15 years, and working in insurance for over 20 years, Sarah’s experience is invaluable to us and our customers. She uses this experience to improve our service, mentor her team, and work with our insurers to offer great products to our customers. She’s also certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).*

Outside of her busy 9-to-5, Sarah spends a lot of her time enjoying the outdoors, either on a walk or at the beach. She’s also a keen traveller and loves exploring new places.

Zo is one of the friendly faces who greet our new customers. As a senior account executive in the new business team, she has one goal: helping people find the perfect insurance for their business. Over the last 8 years, she’s developed her insurance expertise at PolicyBee. Culminating in achieving a diploma in insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).*

When she’s not giving great insurance advice, Zo enjoys relaxing with a good book, keeping fit, and traveling.

Caitlin’s part of our Medical Malpractice team. She specialises in supporting customers with medical backgrounds find the right insurance for their business. Navigating the intricacies of different treatments, industries, and medical jargon can be tough, but she makes it look easy.

Outside her day job, Caitlin’s a bona fide fashionista. With a degree in fashion, you can find her putting outfits together and even serving as her own nail tech.

Carla is a key part our medical malpractice team. As a senior account executive, she helps dozens of customers every day find the perfect insurance for their business. She recently achieved Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certification* too, showing her dedication to providing expert advice.

In the outside world, Carla enjoys spending time with her pooch. She’s also a foodie who, alongside her fiancé Kye, enjoys finding new and exciting places to chow down.

Kim’s an account executive on the Medical Malpractice team. She provides guidance and support for both our customers and businesses looking for insurance with PolicyBee for the first time. She also attends events, giving her the chance to meet customers face-to-face and answer any questions they may have.

Kim’s also working on her CII* qualifications, having passed her first exam in 2025.

Outside work, she’s a loving owner to her sausage dog, Nelly, keeps fit in the gym, and is a self-proclaimed foodie.

Lauren is our go-to for all things medical malpractice. As a team leader, she helps guide our customers to the products they need in an area that’s always evolving. She’s also certified as an insurance expert by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)*.

In her personal life, Lauren always has a DIY project on the go. As well as being a fully-qualified hairdresser, she loves settling down with a good book and snuggling up with her two dogs (she may or may not cut her dogs’ hair).

Ben supports our customers as one of our team of account executives. As well as helping small businesses find cover with PolicyBee for the first time, he guides existing customers through their yearly renewals, provides quotes, and is on hand to offer insurance advice and answer any questions they have.

Out of the office, Ben’s an Ipswich Town season ticket holder and takes care of his French Bulldog. He’s also the reigning PolicyBee Fantasy Premier League champion, which he’s all too happy to remind us all about!

As one of our account executives, Larita helps our customers manage their policies, guides them through renewals, and handles any changes they need to make to their cover. She also helps businesses get cover with PolicyBee for the first time, whether they need help setting up their policy or advice on what kind of insurance they need.

She’s actively studying for our Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII)* certification too, demonstrating her commitment to providing the best possible experience for our customers.

In her spare time, Larita’s a whizz in the kitchen, showing off her background as a trained chef. She’s also a proud nannie, having just welcomed her first granddaughter.

Maz helps both customers and new businesses looking for insurance with PolicyBee for the first time. Whether it’s a new customer needing help setting up their policy, a business looking for some guidance with their renewal, or a business owner who has a few questions, he’s on hand to help. His 12 years of insurance experience make him an invaluable source of knowledge for all our customers.

He’s also completed his IF1 certification through the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII)*.

Outside work, Maz and his Fiancée are kept busy by their two-year-old giving them regular quizzes on dinosaurs. He’s also an avid Arsenal fan and plays football at the weekends, as well as keeping fit in the gym.

With over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, our schemes team leader, Yasin, knows the industry inside and out. As well as leading and mentoring his team, he works with our insurers to bring new products to our customers. He’s been certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)* for several years, demonstrating his expertise and dedication within the insurance industry.

As a new father, his time outside the office is either spent with his wife and son or cheering on his beloved Arsenal.

Ben’s one of our team of amazing account executives. He mainly supports our customers with their yearly renewals, changes to their cover they need to make, and answering any questions they may have. He’s also our Kudos lead, which means he’s in charge of encouraging everyone at PolicyBee to show their appreciation for their colleagues’ hard work.

He’s actively working towards his Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII)* certification, which he hopes to complete soon.

In his spare time, he’s a football, fitness, and food fanatic. He also loves alliteration, apparently.

Chris supports our customers through their yearly renewals, providing guidance and support and ensuring they have the right cover for the year ahead. He also specialises in providing customers with access to our online portal, helping them have better access to their policy documents, and giving them more control over their cover.

Chris is a key part of our IT team too, providing invaluable support to the team whenever they have problems with their tech.

Outside the hustle and bustle, Chris is a busy dad of three. He enjoys keeping up to date on the latest tech news and a bit of DIY.

George keeps the PolicyBee office organised and running smoothly. As one of our assistant account executives, he supports the team by handling a lot of the admin that can bog down the insurance process. He also keeps everything stocked so we have what we need to keep our service quick and easy for our customers.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll probably find him watching football or F1. Or hitting 180s in the weekly darts league he competes in.

As one of our account executives, Laura specialises in helping our customers understand their insurance, make any changes they need, and navigate the ebbs and flows of their yearly renewal. She’s on hand every day to provide advice, guidance, and leave customers feeling assured about their cover.

When she’s not on the phones, Laura keeps active by taking her young family on regular adventures and loves catching up with friends. Especially if there’s a dance floor is involved.

Lisa is our customer champion, responsible for making sure all our customers have a great experience with us. She also works hard with insurers behind the scenes, so you can be confident that we’re holding them accountable for the service they provide you too.

She’s been certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)* for over 6 years, and has worked in insurance for more than 20 years in total. It’s safe to say her experience and expertise is invaluable!

Outside of the busy day-to-day, Lisa loves a carefree beach holiday with her family. And maybe the odd Aperol spritz.

Whether they’re looking to renew their cover, make changes, or just ask a few tricky questions. Not only is she the go-to point in the team, she personally looks after customers with the most complex insurance needs.

Outside of the insurance world, Lisa definitely has the most unique pet at PolicyBee, a snake. Not sure how her dog Rex feels about that. She’s also a busy mum of two and a keen reader.

Matt’s one of our amazing account executives. He specialises in supporting our customers with their yearly renewals, as well as helping them make any changes they need during the course of their cover. He’s always on hand to answer any questions our customers have, as well as offer invaluable insurance advice.

When he’s not at work, you’ll probably find him at the golf course, hopefully not too far from the green.

With over 12 years of insurance experience, Nina knows how to support customers and give the right advice at the right time. She's recently moved to being one of our claims handlers, so she can bring all this experience to bear when advocating for businesses and helping them get their claims paid. Her NVQ in customer services highlights her dedication to providing a high level of service for every business.

When she’s not dealing with claims, she’s travelling around Europe with her husband on the back of a motorbike, soaking up the sun with a cocktail, cooking, or relaxing with a good book.

Tracy’s on hand to help our customers keep their business buzzing. She’s one of our account executives, offering support and guidance for customers that need to make changes to their cover, have any questions, or need assistance with their yearly renewal. Having worked in the insurance industry for 40 years, her experience is invaluable to our customers.

In her spare time, she dotes on her boxer, Mabel, and enjoys long walks with her family. She’s also a keen traveller, and you can just as easily find her on the beach or on the slopes.

As Head of Compliance, Paul is in charge of making sure we meet our responsibilities as an insurance broker. Since joining over four years ago, he’s supported everyone at PolicyBee by training, auditing, and updating us on FCA regulation.

When he takes his compliance hat off, Paul is a keen hiker and loves spending time supporting his sport-loving children. Whether it’s at a football game or an athletics meet.

Alexandra is a key part of our copywriting team, with a particular focus on our blog content. Her first PolicyBee blog was published in 2015, and she’s been writing for us ever since. Her postgraduate diploma in journalism and extensive copywriting experience give her the skills to write on any insurance or business subject and across any industry.

In her spare time, Alexandra is a keen reader, with a stack of up to 20 books on the go at any given time. She's also an advocate for ugly shoes, the sauna, and enjoying a pasteis de nata or two.

As our marketing executive, Andreea heads up our social media efforts, as well as supporting the referral and affiliates team with anything they need. She regularly attends in-person events too, giving our customers the chance to meet us face-to-face and ask any questions they may have.

When she’s not making content for us, she enjoys painting, reading classic literature, learning languages, and looking after her cats.

In her role as a sales and marketing executive, Chantelle is the driving force behind our affiliate and “Refer A Friend” schemes. She seeks out businesses who’d benefit from becoming an affiliate, helping PolicyBee create long-term partnerships that bring us closer to our customers.

Her rapport-building capabilities extend to her personal life, where her favourite thing to do is spend time with her friends and family. She also enjoys working on her dance moves and travelling to new and interesting places.

Every copywriter needs a great editor, and that’s where Kate comes in. As our content lead, Kate makes sure all the content we produce represents everything PolicyBee stands for. With a postgraduate journalism diploma and NCTJ certificate, she's worked in business journalism and magazine publishing for most of her career. So there's no one better for the job.

When she’s not in the office, you can probably find Kate in the garden or her greenhouse. Or celebrating (hopefully) with her family at Portman Road as an Ipswich Town season ticket holder.

With over 9 years of experience as a copywriter and content marketer, Pete is a key part of our copywriting team. He’s written across a variety of industries, including insurance, medicine, technology, and retail. His versatility means he's perfectly placed to write in-depth content of all kinds across numerous subject areas.

Outside of work, Pete’s a keen hiker, swimmer, and traveller. He also spends his spare time dog sitting and walking with his partner, Amy.

Steph is one of our resident wordsmiths, with over 10 years of experience as a copywriter and a degree in film. Whether it’s an article, a script, or social media, Steph can turn her passion and creativity to any written medium.

When she’s out of the office, she’s a busy mum of two – three if you count her belligerent old cat, Travis. She loves live music, spending time at the beach, and caring for close to 100 house plants.

As head of marketing, Vic leads our brand and brings teams together to make sure we communicate with small businesses in a clear, consistent and human way. Having been with PolicyBee for over 18 years, she works closely with colleagues across the company to turn a complicated industry into clear, confident and easy‑to‑understand customer experiences. She holds a degree in design management and has broadened her skills through Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) study.

Outside work, she enjoys family life, cooking, camping, yoga, strength training – and getting stuck into a good book.

As our head of communications and partnerships, Zoe is the strategic mind behind how we speak to our customers and any businesses looking for insurance. She heads up our referral team and is also in charge of ensuring all our marketing is compliant with FCA, ASA, and CAP rules and regulations.

With a masters in brand leadership, Prince 2 certification, and 13 years at PolicyBee under her belt, it’s safe to say we’re in good hands.

In her spare time, Zoe enjoys baking sweet treats and decorating cakes. She’s also a keen traveller and enjoys spending all the time she can with her friends and family.
